On July 6th, 2021, H.E. John Moffat Fugui, the first ambassador of Solomon Islands to China, visited The Group. Huang Yanjiu, the director of Sam Group, and Zhou Lu, the vice president of The Group, warmly welcomed the guests.

As the first ambassador of Solomon Islands to China, Ambassador Fugui presented his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China on June 25th, 2021. During the conversation, V.P. Zhou Lu introduced the profile of The Group including the core business and industry advantages. He appreciated the support given by the local government of Solomon Islands in the fields of energy, infrastructure, tourism, fishing, etc., and expected to achieve further cooperation in the post epidemic era.

Ambassador Fugui noted that the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Solomon Islands has created substantial opportunities for non-governmental commercial exchanges between the two nations. The continued positive development of bilateral relationship hinges upon the active participation of Chinese enterprises. As the first ambassador to China, H.E. Fugui is willing to support the mutual beneficial business cooperation and bring prosperity to the people of both countries.

The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere. It has laid a solid foundation for The Group to conduct business activities in Solomon Islands in the future.
