On April 25th, Jiao Qisen, the president of China Jing An; Xu Ke, the deputy general manager of China Jing An as well as the president of Earth-Moon Space; and other senior executives were invited to participate in the delivery ceremony of the first turboprop aircraft engine by AECC South Industry Co., Ltd. (referred to as AECC SI) in Zhuzhou, Hunan. This significant moment was witnessed by Chen Huiqing, the mayor of Zhuzhou; Yang Xianfeng, the president of AECC SI; Shi Guoyue, the vice president of East China Normal University; delegations from MTU Maintenance Zhuhai; and other representatives. This delivery marks a breakthrough in the powerplant system for unmanned aerial vehicles developed by Earth-Moon Space, which inaugurates a new chapter in the enormous development of China’s general aviation industry and low-altitude economy hardware equipment.

As the core entity of the Group in the field of low-altitude economy, Earth-Moon Space aims to establish a comprehensive low-altitude industry ecosystem. With years of dedicated expertise in unmanned aerial vehicles and aviation intelligent equipment manufacturing, the company focuses on developing a globally leading operating system for the intelligent spatial technologies. The newly acquired WJ-6 turboprop engine, which was independently developed in China, is a medium-power turbine propeller engine which has outstanding advantages such as, low specific fuel consumption, high economic efficiency, and strong acceleration capabilities, etc. Upon integration, it will significantly enhance the power performance and flight efficiency of unmanned aircraft to cope with more complex missions and scenarios. Furthermore, its advanced structural design will substantially reduce maintenance costs, thereby delivering a more economical and reliable solution for unmanned aerial vehicles transportation.

During the ceremony, President Jiao Qisen emphasized that this collaboration marks a critical milestone for the Group in aligning with national strategic initiatives for the low-altitude economy and deepening the integration of “Industry-University-Research-Application”. As a key operational platform of the Group’s low-altitude economy sector, Earth-Moon Space has launched the “Kepler Plan Low-altitude Economy Industrial Project”in Lukou District, Zhuzhou, with a total investment of 10 billion RMB. This project includes plans to establish a manufacturing base for the aviation powerplant system, the final assembly facility for heavy-lift cargo UAVs, as well as an engine maintenance and support center. The successful acquisition of the WJ-6 turboprop engine will substantially advance the development and manufacturing process of the heavy-lift cargo UAVs and finally accelerate the establishment of a highly competitive “aerial transport network”, thereby providing strong support for the growth of low-altitude economy in China.
During the ceremony, Yang Xianfeng, the president of AECC SI stated that aircraft engine represents a “critical national asset” and is praised as “the jewel in the crown of modern industry”. This collaboration exemplifies the synergy achieved through complementary strengths and innovation, which will inject strong impetus into the development of general aviation and low-altitude economy in China. AECC SI is committed to leveraging its technical expertise and manufacturing capabilities in the field of general aviation powerplant to provide comprehensive technical support to the powerplant system of UAVs from Earth-Moon Space in order to assist in the test flight and delivery of related aircraft. This partnership will explore the new frontiers of the low-altitude economy.
The successful holding of this delivery ceremony signifies a breakthrough in the Group’s strategic layout within the sector of low-altitude economy; and is also a deep practice of the Group’s pursuit of industry synergy and resource integration. In the future, the Group will remain aligned with national strategic directives by fostering closer collaboration between enterprises and research institutions for the purpose of driving tangible contributions to the development of the new quality productive forces of China as well as offering “Chinese solutions”to the worldwide low-altitude economy.
